- just soapy water and a hard brush to scrub with should do it - there's no need for bleach
- rub down with a wire brush and re/stain .......much cheaper ..once a year
- Rent (or buy) a power washer. It's noisy but it really gets the job done. Follow directions closely; if it gets too close it can pit the wood.
- I have found power washing is the only way for this. Good luck!
- Oh no! That might cause damage and kill any plants under or around the deck. Just borrow, buy or rent a power washer. Even a little one from Home Depot or Target will be extremely effective, have no smell and get the job done very quickly at a minimal cost. The compulsive one out there on the deck will be cleaning the cars, driveway and be off bothering the neighbors in no time.
- Hire a high pressure water hose for a day, must be cheaper!
- Gosh! what is wrong with you! havent you ever heard of a power washer??? No scrubbing involved!!!
- I would try making a big old bucket of Oxy-clean up and swabbing down the deck. That won't remove germs or anything, but after you've done the Oxy-clean thing, squirt it down, and then spray with with Lysol.
