Treated pine sleepers as timber decking?

Hi. Would it be ok to use treated pine sleepers as timber decking. The decking will be about a meter off the ground and I intend to sand it and paint it in order to get rid of splinters from the sleepers Would this be alright? I have no concern about it sinking in as i have layed about a 50cm foundation for each of the 4 brick pylons i will build.

1. the weight load may drive the posts or frame into the ground slice them down to 2 inches if you want them solid go to popular mechanics website or to the local home depot dont tell them you are useing reclaimed lumber give them the dimensions and they will run off a plan for you with the materials list on it thats the free way to get the thing done here another hint at the local library is books in the B&T section detAILING BUILDING DECKS AND OUTSIDE FURNITURE AND OTHer PROJECTS sorry also you may need a permit for a deck in the city why because of zoning rules good luck
2. I say go for it. Sounds as if you have completed the planning stage and given some thought to the actual process.
