How do you cover above ground swimming pool with a deck? Our pool is 24 ft. round. We have tried all we can think of and we still get pockets of water which weight it down and pulls on our cover so hard that it tears the eyelets out of our cover. If you have the answer I thank you for your help.

How do I remove the bottom track of an above ground swimming pool? I have removed the top and the entire vinyl liner. The wall has partially collapsed around the circumference. I can't find access to the bottom track so I can remove the vertical supports. I'm also in the process of demolishing the deck (Both pool and deck were in bad shape due to lack of maintenance and my friend threw lots of money at a problem which couldn't be resolved). I keep finding some very small pebbles in my above ground swimming pool? I have an above ground pool., I have pea gravel all around the ground around the pool., getting into the pool is above ground deck from the house., so you don't have to go anywhere around the pool first. I have some straw in some areas for grass growing., but the last two days we found about seven small stones in the bottom of the pool....could birds be picking them up and dropping them???we are confused as how they are getting in the pool?

Can you install an above ground pool that truly looks like an inground pool? My house sits on a lot that drops off sharply in the back and ends in an easement. I want to install a swimming pool with deck, etc . Husband says above ground pool but I have not seen any that look good or are over 52 inches. Also want heated pool Have a $10,00 budget. Above Ground Pool With Deck??? Thinking about buying an oval above ground swimming pool (18'X33') and building a nice deck all the way around it so it basically looks similar to an in-ground pool. My question: Would the pool last for several years this way or need to be replaced after a few years?

Above ground pool questions.....? Ok first of all let me start out by saying thank you to anyone who can answer these because my husband and I are going nuts trying to figure it out! We bought the house 2 years ago and it came with an above ground pool 21" whatever that means... it's a round one. (As you can tell my husband deals with it mostly I just swim in it!) Anyway the questions I have are.... 1.) On the pool deck there's outdoor carpeting that looks like mold it's so old and gross ( I refuse to walk on it without my flip flops!) and I want to replace it, but the people at the pool store said I would have to take the deck apart and relay the carpeting professionally... that sounds like a load of crap to me like they're just trying to make money off a clueless pregnant girl... The old carpeting looks like it was laid down under pieces of metal glued and then the metal was bolted on. Couldn't I just tear the old crap out and glue down new stuff? Maybe that’s just a lazy way to go about it, but couldn’t that work? 2nd question.) The pool place also sold us $150 worth of chemicals, which I'm scared to use because I'm 4 1/2 months pregnant... does anyone know if using natural products with only a little chlorine would be ok? Or do the same thing? Please any answers at this point will be so helpful!

Swimming Pool pricing help? I've looked at a lot of sites about how much an above ground pool will cost, but none of them tell me exactly how much everything will cost. I want to know how much it'll cost to have an above ground pool installed in my backyard along with a deck and all the stuff I will need to buy along with it. What would be the approximate cost of civil work for installation of pre-fab swimming pool? I want to install a pre-fabricated swimming pool of size 39 ft. x 15 ft. and depth of 4 ft. 4 inches. I would like to know what would be the cost of civil works like excavation in soft soil, decking with simple tiles and a plant room of 10 m2. I want to install the pool half in ground and half above. What's an aesthetic design for the exterior of a swimming pool? recently, I had installed an above ground 12 foot diameter pool. the grass has been killed off around the surrounding area, and I have only had time to put a few potted tropical plants in places. I wont be doing any major work now with summer almost over, but I want to design over the winter something nice to do for next year. A running deck even to the top of the pool isnt an option. but what about one that is 1 foot off the ground? so that it could be walked on, have pool toys sit there and that way my kids and i dont have to walk in the mud around it? should it be wood or some other material? wood seems like high maintenance. I guess I could just build a landscaping bed but it might get ruined with too muich water when it splashes out and it drains when i clean it once a month. thank you for any suggestions.:)

will an electric drill kill children when its dropped into swimming pool? We just put up an above ground pool. My father-in-law was watching the children yesterday and let them swim in the pool. When I got home after work I walked into the back yard to find the kids in the pool and their grandfather screwing in a deck with an electric drill. He was hanging over the water with the drill. I ordered the kids out of the pool and told him I thought it was dangerous for him to use an electric drill while the kids were swimming. "What if you dropped it?" I asked him. He called me a worry wart and old granny and said he had no intention of dropping the drill. Besides, he added, it wouldn't have hurt them anyway. Is that true? Would the volume of water dissipated the electrical charge? The pool is 18 feet around and five feet deep. Was I just being overly cautious? Unnecessarily worried? Here's the part I left out: shortly after I arrived home I went inside to start supper. All the kids got out of the pool but my 5-year-old son, who cannot swim and who had no life jacket on. He was in the pool, holding onto the railing and pulling himself around the pool. Then his grandfather walked off and just left him! I saw it happen from the kitchen window. I dashed out of the house and ordered him back out of the pool. From that moment on I didn't leave the pool until grandpa left for home. I will never let him watch my kids again if I can help it. But can I stop him? I mean, my wife let's him keep the kids all the time, even the little one. Gramps has a pool at his house, too!

NEED HELP!!!!!!? we have a huge sinkhole under half of our above ground swimming pool. we have built a deck around the pool-so moving it is out of the question. this sinkhole is so big, there is an obvious drop off starting in the middle of the pool and gets worse the further from the center you get, just outside the pool the sinkhole gets bigger and there is a gradual 2-3 foot difference in level. there are 3 other sinkholes on my property but this one is the worst. we have tried pulling back the pool liner and adding mounds of dirt so that end was higher than the end not affected by the hole, but after one year it has sunken to a full inch below the normal half of the pool. i dont want to get rid of my pool has anyone ever had this problem before? how do i fix it? i need a lot of help!!!

Can we be fined if we don't bring our deck up to code since our building permit has expired? We got a building permit last year to put in an above ground swimming pool and build a new deck. The permit just expired and Building and Codes just showed up to inspect the work. The man told my husband there were a few problems with the deck (we need a new handrail and gate at the steps). A day later we found a Stop Work Order form on the door since the permit had expired. They said we have two weeks to come in and renew the permit and that will give us 6 months to work more on the deck. What can they do though if we don't renew the permit, but DO NOT continue work on the deck? What if we don't bring the deck up to their standards? Can they fine us or take any legal action?

What is the same size as a 30' by 54" pool? I am about to purchase an above the ground pool then get a deck built that is attached to the house, extends away from the sliding doors in the back of my house to out & around the pool. I have pictures that I gave to the contractors so they can make a design & i will post urls for it. Any who, Most of the pools are averaging around 2000 dollars or more. If I am going to spend 2000 or possibly more than that then I want the pool to be a good size. The type I am looking at (tahitian) last for 60 years so that is some reassurance. I do not know how big the pool actually is though so can somebody give me a comparison or something like that? The sizes I may get is either 24' by 54" 27' by 54" 30' by 54" I know 54" is the dept of the pool. So that is 4.5feet deep. Now what is the size? How big is 30'? I like the 30' because it sounds big but if it is not a good size then i might as well get a 24 or 27'. The contractor is ready to build the deck but I still have not any purchases the pool. I have been hesitating. I have to get the pool and get it set up in the yard before he can build the deck around it. In all I will spend around 5,000 on the whole project so i want to make sure the pool is a good size. I love to swim. Should I tell my mother about this? ok, so my aunt, Meme, who is extremely close to me since birth (I'm 12 now) is married to this guy. They've been together for 6 years and nothings ever happened between me and him but lately he's been acting strange. You see, she lives out in the country and has a nice above ground pool that me and my friends always hang out at. Tonight, my friend and I were swimming and he came out and started picking us up and throwing us. (Meme was grabbing dinner in town) It was very peculiar because he left us out there after she came home and we had eaten and we didn't hear from him so we thought he'd gone to bed. Well, anyways, we wanted to skinny dip (Don't lecture me) We always do this under supervision when the neighbors are gone to sleep. So when we got back in, I leaned over the side of her pool for a few minutes to see if the neighbors had gone to sleep or whatever. Later on, her husband came up the steps from around the other side of the deck and was like "I saw what you did, Anna," and he kept agitating the subject. Then he leaned over and put his hand over the thing in the pool that shoots out water fast and said something like this ; "Did you like that, Anna" over again. It scared me and my friend because it sounded perverted. I was like "what do you mean" and he just laughed. I'm so freaking embarrassed because he obviously thought I was masturbating or something. I am so scared. Should I confront my mother about this? She has always taught me to do right and make sure I tell her! CONFUSED HERE!!! oh, and later after we thought he'd gone to bed, since meme lives kind of far out, we went skinny dipping and he came outside and was asking us if we had called his name and we yelled at him to go inside and we covered up and he stayed out there until meme came out! :/

mold/ fungus in grass and lawn? In june my husband & I put up one of those inexpensive above ground pools 18x48. Because Iam preganat and wanted the relief of weight of me and so our 2 yo could practice swimming. To the point we just took it down this moring and removed the tarp it was sitting on and there was this horrble smell in the ground where the tarp was. The whole area looks moldy and oh the smell is gut wrenching. It just looked all slimey. Not sure if it's mold or fungus but what ever it is it must be fixed. So my question is what should we do to kill it and get rid of the smell? And second how dangerous is it to be breathing in this smell? I can be standing on the deck and the area that is affected is about 30-35 feet away and I can still smell it like I am standing over top of it. I guess I am concerned because I am 8 Months pregant and we have the 2 yo. Any help would be great. Oh my husband thought it would be a good idea to sprinker turf builder fertilzer on top of it but it just made the smell worse. Thanks

What does this dream mean? I'm scared, please help? I had a dream that my class went on a field trip to this ancient museum said to have been built on an old ritual ground. Our tour guide brought us to the room where they had unearthed a "portal". It was a pure white circle with gold markings on it, and it was supposed to lead to a demonic puzzle world. Now here's where the weirdness really begins. The portal is behind glass, but then a boy from my class gets through and steps on the portal, and vanishes. We start freaking out and suddenly the glass isn't there and we run forward. The moment my feet touch the circle,the museum fades and a different room comes into focus. It has a large pool of water in it, with sharp rocks pointing up from the bottom. There is a wall on the other side with five four panels above a small doorway. On each of the panels is what looks like a piece of a heart. I hear something move behind me, and I see that my friends are here too. No one else, just them. We decide that we should swim across the pool and see if we can find a way out. Once we're on the other side, we notice that one of us isn't there. We look back over the pool, and he's standing there, staring at the water, mumbling that he can't cross it. We keep telling him that it's alright, and he finally jumps in. It wasn't like watching a person fall through water. It looked like he was falling of the side of a cliff, and instead of bobbing back up, he hit the rocks on the bottom. I can't tear my eyes away as they pierce his body. I can't look away as the blood runs down the rocks. We're all scared now, and run down into the doorway, which leads to a dimly-lit hallway. We run, but it seems endless. The lights go out, and I hear my friends scream, but further back from where I thought they were. I run in the direction of their voices, and I run into something hard. The lights come up again, as dim as they were before, and standing before me is the boy who was dead underwater a moment before. He tells me to come with him, that he needs me for something. I run away, and I can hear him follow me. I eventually end up in the room I had left, and I don't know what came over me, but I threw him back into the water. The minute he hit it, he disappeared. My friends are there, and ask me what happened. I tell them. They say it can't be true and point to the water. His body is as I thought it was, dead on the rocks. I can feel my heart pounding, and tell them that we have to leave. We go back along the hallway and find a set of double doors. When we open them, we see the museum. I hear voices coming from along the hallway. I tell them to go ahead, and I go back down the hallway. Suddenly, I'm grabbed by two men in white suits. They pull me into a room cavered in crimson, and tie up my hands before standing guard at the door. There are two others next to me, a dark-skinned woman wearing a black skirt and a red shirt, and a pale man wearing khakis and a white blue-and-red striped shirt. They are bound the same way I am. Before us is a low, rust colored table. Behind it are two figures. One is a woman decked in scarves and jewels. The other is the dead boy. His eyes are pure white, and he has a vicious smile on his face. The woman makes a motion with her hand, and one of the guards brings the dark skinned woman forward. The woman produces a ornate jeweld dagger from amidst the folds of cloth, and the other is thrown down on the table. She stabs her, and just before she dies, I see a white smoke escape her lips. THe man is brought forward, and the same happens. Then I am thrown down on the table. You'd think with a dream like this, I'd wake up before I die, right? Wrong. She stabs me, and I feel my spirit leave me. I stand beside my dead body, and see the spirits of the man and woman standing next to the boy. He's calling to me, asking for my help, and a translucent blue figure with glowing red eyes is floating behind him. The figure floats forward, over to me, and I feel the sensation of something so much more powerful than fear. It's like nothing can help me, like I'm alone, and I'm going to be erased from the world. I woke up shivering and unable to get to sleep. Everything in the dream was vivid, every voice was clear and I felt every touch. What does this mean? Help me if you can.
